“Flashbacks” Occur in our lives from something that reminds us of a timeline in our lives. This can be expressed in  emotions of a, smile, crying, hatred and many other malice’s that some may be filed in a dark space in our hearts. I could go on and on. This lady has so many secrets, that all cannot be counted at this time. The TV show Scandal, was on last Thursday night.  The president’s wife was being rape by her father in law. Quiet as it kept, I believe the baby that belong to the president and his wife, is fathered by the president’s father.
However; the lady told me. That scene triggered her emotions, when she was raped and beaten almost to death. She began to cry just telling the procedure of the rape kit being administered. The clear baggies, the nurse used for removing hair from parts of her body, cleaning her nails with Q-tips. The rape was so dramatic that her vision was lost for a week and a half, due to her eyes being close shut from the beating in her face and head. I understood her to add that she could not comb her hair for a year.
While being processed, voices were heard out in the hallway of the hospital. Later, she heard someone call her name, and then her name was called again and again. This was her family; entering the room. That she could not see. Her mom hugs her with ease, not to hurt her badly beaten body. There was her aunt, a sister, and a cousin. I know I sense weeping and moaning. So, I asked why? They said, they were happy to see me. “Happy to see me” my ass.” I was thinking.  Secrets can shift when one is telling it. There is a change in the lady that is telling this story. I/She/You remembered the rape. Her hospital stay was three weeks, with no mirror and selected visitors the secret was known to many and they were informed, not to tell.
The secret is death to the soul when hiding it, do to erroneous advice from others. While the body functions like a robot with no feelings. Please, my dear “Sue’s” tell the secret and be free.

A Girl Named Sue Neighborhood Parade

April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month. To bring awareness to our community, A Girl Named Sue With A Secret is a book authored by Evangelist Julia E. Whitley to bring awareness to the injustices and cruelties being committed against our children daily.

All too often when our children are assaulted and seek help, they are denied help, over looked, disbelieved, or just ignored making the child feel helpless, unwanted, unsafe and not cared for by those who are supposed to be caring for and protecting the child. And in most cases, the abuse is being committed by people the child knows.

The A Girl Named Sue With A Secret, Organization, The House of David, a non-profit organization, Shape Community Center and friends of author Evangelist Julie E. Whitley and A Girl Named Sue With A Secret have all joined forces to bring this parade to the heart of Houston, Texas. April 26, 2014. The Parade will begin at Shape Community Center 3815 Live Oak at 9:00 AM and end at Shape Community Center 3903 Almeda St. Houston, Texas 77004.  Upon arrival at the Almeda Center, There will be speakers on the issues of child abuse awareness and other topics geared toward educating our community on the dangers of child Abuse, sexual, physical and mental.  There will also be sponsored events, child Abuse Awareness speakers, local politicians, testimonials and Evangelist Julia E. Whitley will speak about her book, A Girl Named Sue With A Secret. There will be live music, food, tented vendors, free giveaways and a silent auction jump tents for the kiddies and much much more.

A Girl Named Sue With A Secret is a book geared to helping our community and dedicated to helping to redefine the understanding the long range fallout of child abuse by establishing a more aware adult and child through our programs. We are on the track to educating parents and care givers securing community awareness as a proven solution for redirection of our youth’s energy, attentions, strengths and weaknesses and helping youth to get involved in their own safety and protection not be afraid to TELL SOMEONE (Say it loud) thereby making the abuse known and not the exception for our children.
